| The New Mexico Diabetes Advisory Council (NMDAC) represents more than 700 individuals and groups across New Mexico trying to reduce the burden of diabetes on individuals, families, communities, the health care system, and the state. Educational trainings are held in Albuquerque and typically average between 100 and 130 people comprised of physicians, nurses, dieticians, podiatrists, optometrists, promotores, community health representatives, health educators, program administrators, and students. Each training focuses on a diabetes-related topic. At the end of each training, an education session is offered with continuing education credits.
