Welcome!
The New Mexico Diabetes Advisory Council (NMDAC) represents more than 700 individuals and groups across New Mexico and the Navajo Nation trying to reduce the burden of diabetes on individuals, families, communities, the health care system, and the state. Quarterly meetings are held in Albuquerque and typically average between 120 and 150 people comprised of physicians, nurses, dieticians, podiatrists, optometrists, promotores, community health representatives, health educators, program administrators, and students. Each quarterly meeting focuses on a diabetes-related topic. At the end of each meeting, an education session is offered with continuing education credits.
